Description
Vibration damper makes use of rotation and swing of the two-end
hammer heads for generating friction damping force from the mutual
slippage among the galvanized iron wire strands to consume the
swinged energy. It is adopted preformed rod structure in which the
holding strength between the installation of vibration damper to
preformed rods and the conductors evenly spread the distance from
30 to 60cm on the length area, effectively protecting the conductor
by avoiding the stress concentration of the latter. It is of good
slippage and antivibration performance as well as superior
installation of preformed rods guarantee sustainable, stable &
reliable holding strength between the performed rods and the
conductors while its high efficient construction will be good for
the convenient and reliable checkup.
Its inertia and spiral elasticity can make the damping component
generate relative displacement on the conductor swing, consuming
vibration energy by effecting viscous damping phenomenon. The more
the conductor swings, the more vibration damper consumes energy.
Its installation shall take priority on its antinode; as its
resonant frequency matches with the vibration frequency of
conductor, the energy vibration damper consumes will be up to its
maximum value.
Feature
FR Type Preformed Vibration Damper is commonly used to control vibration of overhead conductors and OPGW. The vibration damper has a length of steel messenger cable. Two metallic weights are attached to the ends of the messenger cable. The centered clamp, which is attached to the messenger cable, is used for installing the vibration damper onto the overhead conductor. The asymmetrical vibration damper is a multiresonance system with inherent damping. The vibration energy is dissipated through inter-strand friction of the messenger cable around the resonance frequencies of the vibration damper. By increasing the number of resonances of the damper using asymmetrical design and increasing the damping capacity of the messenger cable the vibration damper is effective in reducing vibration over a wide frequency or wind velocity range.
