Prevention of resonance:

When the natural frequency of horn stents and mounting support sheet metal close to or equal to the natural frequency of resonance phenomenon will occur and thus affect the quality of the horn, can cause the serious horn can't normal voice.Such as natural frequency of a car horn stents for 25 hz, and the assembly of the sheet metal of the installation points of vibration frequency is close to or equal to 25 hz, horn diaphragm with stent is opposite direction vibration, the surrounding air vibration or vibration is very small, can lead to the horn sound or pronunciation.

The calculation of natural vibration frequency of horn bracket and the equation of particle vibration are as follows:

The first part is free vibration, because there is damping, the attenuation is fast, generally not considered.

The second part is forced vibration caused by external forces. The amplitude is:

As f/fn goes to 1, B/Bn goes to infinity, which means the amplitude of the forced vibration increases infinitely, which means the resonance is generated.

Example: mechanical horn with basin shape

The weight of the horn W=0.25kg, the mounting hole spacing of the shock absorber L=6.2cm, and the elastic modulus E=2 * 106kg/cm2

Section coefficient J=b * h3/12=2.8 * (0.08) 3/12=1.195 * 10-4

The above parameters are put into equations (4) and (5) to obtain:

After calculating the natural frequency of the horn bracket, it can be compared with the natural frequency of the car body.When the two frequencies are close or equal, the natural frequency of the horn can be avoided by changing the mounting size of the bracket or the shape of the bracket.

Precautions: CAE can simulate the amplitude, frequency and vibration acceleration and frequency curves of the horn bracket and sheet metal under static conditions.

Through CAE analysis, the natural frequency of the loudspeaker bracket or the vibration frequency of the mounting point are calculated.

Balance bracket and sheet metal should be properly selected when they are fixed by bolts and nuts, and generally verified by CAE analysis or vibration test.

The strength of the horn mounting bracket and body sheet metal is determined by CAE analysis or vibration test.

To minimize the complexity of the structure or excessive bending of the inclined bracket.
