ATSM A790 Duplex stainless Steel Pipe S31260 Corrosion Resistant

Product Discription:

S31500 is a duplex (austenitic-ferritic) stainless steel with high mechanical strength, good resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) , general corrosion and pitting corrosion in chloride and loading environments, it is about twice of austenite grade, good corrosion resistance and corrosion fatigue property, physical property with design advantage, good weldability and so on.

​Duplex stainless steel corrosion resistant. They have strong resistance to inter-granular corrosion. Even in chloride and sulfide environments, duplex stainless steels show very high resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Duplex stainless steel work hardening alloy. Their micro-structure consists of austenitic phase and ferritic phase. Therefore, duplex stainless steel shows the characteristics of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel. This combination of properties may mean some compromise compared to pure austenite and pure ferrite.

Use of S31500 duplex stainless steel:

S31500 is used in oil refining, fertilizer, papermaking, petroleum, chemical and other industrial manufacturing heat exchangers, condensers, etc. It can replace 316L and 304L in environments prone to stress corrosion damage.
