Ejector pins are a critical component to the injection molding process. An ejector pin is driven into the rear of a mold cavity to force the finished piece out and is also often referred to as a knockout pin.

Ejector pins are used in the plastic molding and die casting dies. They are a fixed element used to create a void providing the desired shape in the molded or cast part. It is often easier to machine a core pin as a separate element and add it to the A-side or B-side as needed.

Ejector sleeve in a mold is to eject either an entire finish molded piece part or applyejection force to some portion of the molded piece part to assist with part ejection, in combination with other ejection features designed into the mold.

Sleeve ejector pin is generally made of a harder metal than the sleeve, such as SKH51, and the hardness can reach 58-60HRC. The sleeve pin made of high-quality high-speed steel has a beautiful metallic luster. The production process of the sleeve ejector pin is similar to that of the ejector pin. The structural dimensions of the sleeve ejector pins are very different from the structural dimensions of the ejector pin, and the size of the large head generally has an irregular size.

When the sleeve ejector pin is produced, it is generally necessary to spray rust inhibitor to prevent rust. During use, if the mold is left unused for a long time, it should also be protected against rust. The sleeve pin has a wear-resistant property after nitriding treatment, and the durable hot work die steel is resistant to high temperatures of 1200 degrees or more. At present, the ejector pin technology manufactured by China's mold parts factory has reached international standards.
