Application

Globe valve are named for their spherical body shape with the two halves of the body being separated by an internal baffle.This has an opening that forms a seat onto which a movable plug can be screwed in to close (or shut) the valve.The plug is also called a disc or disk.In globe valve, the plug is connected to a stem which is operated by screw action using a handwheel in manual valves.Typically,automated globe valve use smooth stems rather than threaded and are opened and closed by an actuator assembly.

Feature

The globe valve mainly serves to cut off the pipeline medium. Compared with the gate valve, the adjustment performance is better, the opening height is small, the closing time is short, the manufacturing and maintenance are convenient, the sealing surface is not easy to be worn and scratched, the sealing performance is good, and the service life is long; the valve body structure design of the shut-off valve is rather tortuous. Therefore, the flow resistance is large and the energy consumption is large; it is suitable for mediums such as steam and oil, and should not be used for mediums with large viscosity, with particles, easy to coke, and easy to precipitate. Medium and high pressure shut-off valves, large-diameter globe valves can be balanced structure, the extension of the shut-off valve - throttle valve, by changing the flow section to control the pressure and flow of the medium, except for the opening and closing parts using streamline cone type, other large Some are identical to the shutoff valve.
