Marine Pneumatic Rubber Fenders are frequently known by other names, such as Yokohama fenders or Yokohama - type pneumatic fenders. These floating pneumatic rubber fenders are made from synthetic - cord - reinforced rubber sheets and filled with compressed air. The air inside serves two vital functions.

Fender Pressure Rating

There are two initial pressure rating for our Pneumatic Rubber Fenders.
■ Pneumatic 50 (P50, Initial internal pressure 50kPa)
■ Pneumatic 80 (P80, Initial internal pressure 80kPa)

Pneumatic Fender Type

There are two common types our Pneumatic Rubber Fenders.
■ Type I - Net Type Covered with a chain net, wire net, or fiber net for small size fenders
■ Type II - Sling Type This type of fender has a lifting device on each end, which shall be connected with a guy chain or guy-rope. Without a protection net, easy to handle with lightweight)

Fender's Protection Net Type

Net - type fenders (TypeⅠ) are characterized by a covering consisting of a chain net, wire net, or fiber net. In these nets, regardless of whether the longitudinal components are chains, wires, or fibers, each end is joined by one or two rings. These rings are subsequently connected to a guy chain or guy - rope.

Generally, to enhance the protection of the fender body, these nets are used in conjunction with tires and rubber sleeves. Nevertheless, when it comes to fiber nets, only rubber sleeves are utilized for this protective purpose.

Among the various types of nets, chain nets exhibit a higher resistance to corrosion. This property enables them to have a longer service life in marine settings where corrosion is a major issue.
