S7-400 SM422 PLC CPU Module SM422 Series Digital Output Module
Application
Digital output modules can be used to output digital signals from the control to the process. They are suitable, for example, for connecting solenoid valves, contactors, low-power motors, lamps and motor starters.
Design
Digital output modules are characterized by the following mechanical features:
- Compact configuration:
The rugged plastic housing contains:- Green LEDs for indicating the signal statuses at the outputs
- One red LED each to indicate internal and external faults or errors, and to display blown fuses and the absence of the load voltage
- Labeling strips
- Simple assembly
- User-friendly wiring:
The modules are wired by means of a plug-in front connector.
Function
Digital output modules convert the internal signal levels of the S7-400 in the external signal levels required for the process.
